2002 May:
Monday the Twentieth--"The Whiggin Out LP" has been fully recorded, mixed, and is currently being mastered. After which, the only process left will be for the graphics to be finished and for the disc to be duplicated. A June 21st release is expected. Please help by promoting this disc. Keep checking out www.dphiphop.com for more information and a definate release date. Oh, yeah, and BUY IT WHEN IT COMES OUT!
2002 January:- Thursday the Thirty-First--What's New? EVERYTHING. Since November, this entire site has been renovated with new features; look around. Also notice that you can now access the website without the use of the .8k. Whether you type in www.dphiphop.8k.com or www.dphiphop.com in your browser, you'll get here.
2001 November:- Friday the Ninth--No throwing tomatos, I've been busy. Since the last update, I've had a few excellent performances. Sorry to those who wanted to see the em-cees from Sectionate perform at the GRITS show, but it was last minute. We found out (LITERALLY) the day before. Anyway, all went well.
- Friday the Ninth--Okay, so I'm horrible at updating my people. Well, this is my night to attempt to make it better. Effective soon, much of the website should be reworked (mainly I'm dealing with the pages that haven't been updated in the longest time). You'll notice changes to such areas as "Who is dp?", "The Name", etc. You'll also find new sections to dphiphop.8k.com such as the Message Boards and CD Updates. Thanks for loving me regardless.
2001 August:- Saturday the Eleventh--I'll be performing at Christian Book & Gift again this year during their parking lot concert. The event goes from 12 to 10 on Saturday, September 8th; I'll be on from 5-6. It's a good show, so come out if you can. Christian Book & Gift is located at 19th and Wanamaker in Topeka across from Westridge Mall.
- Sunday the Fifth--Did anyone see my feature in the Topeka Capital-Journal? Some of the information in the article is wrong (including the only contact information they placed in there), but it's not too bad of an article. Check it out here if you would like.
2001 July:- Thursday the Twenty-Sixth--"The Whiggin Out LP" has been temporarily placed on hold. We're wanting to make it the best we can, so that involves more time and money. A release date of November is expected... we'll see. In addition to improving the quality, more songs and more guest appearances may pop up, but that is still uncertain.
2001 June:- Tuesday the Twelth--Okay, it's been forever since I've updated this thing, but for good reasons. I've been recording, legalizing, coordinating, mastering, tracking down people and forcing them to help out, and all that jazz. As a result, the CD is practically finished. There is still one song needing to be mixed down and the art is still in process, then it will be sent to be pressed. It's still unknown whether it will be ready by when we leave for Cornerstone, but I'll do everything in my power to make sure it is (hopefully, God feels the same way). These are the most trying times of this process, keep this ministry in your prayers if you feel lead. Thanks.
2001 March:- Friday the Thirtieth--I checked out Morning Star Studios last night with my fiancee, and was greatly impressed with the work the engineer proved he could do. After letting me rock the mic there, John (the engineer), showed me what he could do with my music... I was more impressed than I thought I might be. Recording is a bit closer now, as I officially hit the studio for my first day on May 4th. A June 19th release date for "The Whiggin Out LP" is expected.
- Tuesday the Twenty-Seventh--Go to StruckMute.com and see who this month's featured artist is. If everything goes as planned, I'll be camping with those crazy Struck Mute people at Cornerstone this year, but no body probably really cared to know that.
2001 February:- Friday the Sixteenth--For those who are curious... I am currently working on setting up several performances. I finally forced myself to be motivated to send out the first of those letters to churches, coffeehouses, et cetera that I've been talking about for months. If you think your church might be interested, let me know and I'll send them one if I haven't already. Stay tuned to dphiphop.8k.com or sign up out my internet newsletter for more info on show developments. *In other news, I've recently worked out a deal with Struck Mute Magazine that sounds very promising. They are an up-and-coming open-minded Christian publication with more of a youth orientation. Struck Mute believes in what daedalus perihelion is doing and plans on promoting this site on their website, in their magazine, and at festivals (they are planning on being at Cornerstone this year). Check out their website for more info at StruckMute.com.*Also, things are still looking positive for a July release of the dp debut CD entitled (are you ready?) (drumroll, please).... "The Whiggin Out LP". It will take much money, but I believe God will provide. Pray for it's completion if you feel led.*Finally, for those who don't already know, I'm currently working on the beginning stages of a group I've wanted to do for a while. Details have yet to be worked out, but Sectionate is in production. The beginnings of a website are up at Sectionate.s5.com (but not much is there right now). Members will include Cloroxthehybrid (myself), Index, and Pito (I believe... we haven't got it all worked out yet).*That's all for now... God Bless.
