2000 Tidbits
The word 'tidbit' reflected is 'tidbit'!
2000 November:- Sunday the Nineteenth--After a much needed break from being daedalus perihelion I am officially making my comeback. Having been in an artistic down the last month and a half, I feel God leading me back into taking this hiphop thing to the next level. This past Friday I went to Kansas City and saw my favorite em-cee Dirt perform. At one point, Dirt let me get up on stage with him and bust a little freestyle. After the show my fiancee and I talked with him for a couple hours and he really motivated both of us to stop wasting our lifes with anything meaningless. I felt God confirming that I need to do this... so I'm trying it again. He also said he'd be more than willing to appear on my debut CD!!! God is amazing! This means that Dirt, Illustrate, the dialecktable, and MC Pito are all more than likely gonna be on the CD when it drops. Being that everyone of those em-cee's is out-of-state, except the dialaecktable, I would appreciate your prayers that God would bless me with financial means and the time to record this as He sees fit. For more information on Dirt, check out his website at www.locustfist.com. And for more information about Illustrate, check out his website at www.illustrate.homestead.com.
2000 September:
2000 August:
- Saturday the Fifth--I've just been confirmed to play a show on Saturday, September 2nd. I will be performing at the Christian Book & Gift parking lot show from approximentally 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Other acts stated to play are Cold Turkey, State of X, the Pedestrians, and others. I will have a full hour to perform and plan on playing all the "traditional" daedalus perihelion songs and breaking out some brand new material that have never been done publicly before including Here, Larisa Oleynik, and at least one other. This is the same show that started my rap career as Cloroxthehybrid last year on August 7th. I have talked with MC Pito and the dialecktable, and they both plan on attending to perform their respective songs with me. For more information about this show, please feel free to e-mail me. Some additional information will be posted on this website and mailed to newsletter subscribers as it becomes available.
2000 July:
- Friday the Twenty-eighth--The length of my hair is now up to 2 inches.
- Monday the Tenth--Well I just returned from Cornerstone and I have a couple things to update you on. It was my first time camping and I discovered that I'm not a camping kinda person; but other than the discomfort of being outdoors for six days straight I had a great time. Unfortunately, I didn't make it onto the Impromptu stage (there were many more artist trying for it than I thought there would be). I did improvise, however, and perform along the road to main stage on Saturday night. Being that I just played the music from a car stereo and tried to scream my vocals loud enough without a mic, it wasn't anything special, but it was a'ight.
*One great thing that happened at Cornerstone was that I met up with the em-cee known as Illustrate. It was definately God moving that made us "bump into each other" on that Tuesday night. We talked for a while and he invited me to come on stage with him at his performance the next night. The Fourth Man Records (a division of N'Soul) artist did just that and let me get on stage and perform a song with him. So, in one way or another, I did get onto a Cornerstone stage (even if it was only for 5 minutes). For those who don't know, Illustrate is by far one of my all-time favorite artists, and it was really an honor to be able to rock the mic with him. After the show (and since), Illustrate and I have stayed in contact and have agreed to try to get together and do shows and tracks in the future. He actually lives in the neighboring state of Colorado, so it is definately likely that we will do just that. This is by far the most amazing thing that has happened with this ministry so far. God has blessed me with an opportunity that I don't deserve, but I'm grateful and look forward to what He has in store for me and this ministry next. Thanks to every one who supported me so much at Cornerstone. And don't forget to be on the lookout for Illustrate-daedalus perihelion collabs.
2000 June:
- Monday the Twelth--I have made plans to definately attend Cornerstone this year. For those who don't know Cornerstone is the largest Christian music and arts festival known to man. Unfortunately, I wasn't prepared by the deadline the Cornerstone committee had set in place to make it onto the schedule. However, the festival will have an Impromptu Stage which I might be able to get on. However, the schedule for the impromptu stage isn't set until that day... so I won't know until I get there. If I do get to perform, I have been told I would receive a full thirty minute set at a festival with over 20,000 people (ofcourse 19, 876 of those people will be elsewhere, but that's okay). So if you're going to cornerstone this July, look for me, I should be there. For more information, check out the Cornerstone Festival website.
- Friday the Ninth--I'm currently working on sending a letter to select churches in Topeka, Lawrence, Kansas City, and the surrounding areas about my music and ministry. If you think your church might be interested in daedalus perihelion, please e-mail me and let me know. Thanks.
- Wednesday the Seventh--Happy birthday to Larisa Oleynik who God blessed humanity with nineteen years ago today. Granted that has nothing to do with the daedalus perihelion website, but it's something all human beings should know.
- Thursday the First--This entire website and many of it's pages are currently being updated. Please explore for interesting new things around every corner. The site will continue to be thoroughly updated for the next few weeks.
